Who we are
SchoolRide Brussels SRL (enterprise number and registered address to be confirmed on incorporation) is the data controller for personal data processed to operate the platform. A Data Protection Officer contact will be published here.
What we process and why
Parent identity and contact details (account, billing, notifications); children's identity, school, seat requirements and — stored separately with restricted access — medical, accessibility and safeguarding information (to carry the child safely); addresses and pickup points (routing); journey, boarding and handover records (safety and dispute resolution); payment records (Stripe is our processor). Lawful bases: contract, legal obligation, and explicit consent for children's and health data.
Retention
Live GPS position is deleted automatically after a short configurable period (default 7 days). Operational journey detail is retained for a configurable period (default ~13 months) then minimised. Invoicing records are kept for the period Belgian law requires — to be confirmed with our accountant.
Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Use the data-request tools in your account or contact us. You may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (Autorité de protection des données / Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
No advertising, no profiling of children
We do not sell personal data and we never use children's data for advertising or automated decision-making.
